Life-Friendly Attitudes

We promote attitudes and not methods. Why?

Attitudes are independent. Whether you prefer meditation or behavioral therapy, mountains or lakes, jazz or hip-hop, you can stay true to yourself, become involved, feel gratitude or not.

Attitudes are elastic. We need different attitudes at different stages. For example, work involvement for one person means 9 hours a day and for another only 5 hours. Or the other way round.

They are universal. They are applied or not by people, regardless their culture, gender, sexual orientation, opinions, and wealth.

They are inbred. All the attitudes come from us. What comes from us is naturally closer and more real. What comes from outside, including this book and these words, belongs to somebody no matter how inspirational it might be. It can be profitable only if it addresses something that is inherently ours. That’s an outstanding ability to separate natural attitudes from the beliefs that result from accepting external narrative.

They are key. The attitude and not method determines the development. The attitudes that combine self-awareness and the decisions resulting thereof determine our personal development and the feeling of fulfillment.

Acceptance

Many of us don’t accept ourselves.

When we lack self-acceptance, we may feel constantly dissatisfied with our achievements or the circumstances. No matter what we change in ourselves or in the circumstances, time passes and eventually we feel dissatisfied. We keep on juggling with our opinions about others and ourselves. As a result, we are condemning ourselves to the dynamic changes in the way we feel.

Meditation is a very useful technique that allows to improve your self-acceptance. It brings satisfaction, calmness, and dynamism.

Honesty

Honesty is elementary. You may be going to therapy or meditate for 20 years – and, of course, you will notice some change - but without being honest with yourself you might start running in circles.  What honesty really is?

Most of us think that being honest means being truthful towards someone else. We suggest thinking of honesty as being true to yourself - in the first place.  Honesty is not finding all your „negative traits.” It is finding your internal peace, learning your natural needs, and being in touch with yourself.

Commitment

Usually, our life is brought down to avoiding things that we perceive as unpleasant and to pursuing things which bring us pleasure.
Therefore, we try to swerve around emotions and situations - and this requires effort and causes tension.
Are you ready to accept your life in fullest?
In meditation we accept all experiences.

Gratitude

We’ve learnt to take many things for granted as if we just deserved them. We don’t pay attention to them, just like we don’t pay too much attention to our breath or coins in our pockets. Very often we don’t feel grateful for health, full fridge, the next moment, or ourselves.
Most of all we don’t appreciate ourselves in a good way.
Is joy without gratitude possible?

Trust

One of the keys to being true to yourself is the ability to trust yourself and your decisions. Do you know how to set apart the avalanche of thoughts, feelings, and intuition? Can you trust it?
Meditation is a natural technique of listening to yourself and following internal signals.

Moderation

All forms of exaggeration can be exciting and fascinating, but they often lead to imbalance. Sometimes, they result from the lack of balance.
Moderation is stability, peace, and lack of tension. If needed, this tension can trigger craze.
